Local Well-being Plan
The Welsh Government passed a new law in 2015 called the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act. The Act requires a Public Services Board to be set up in each local authority area in Wales.
The Neath Port Talbot Public Services Board was established in May 2016 to bring together local organisations and strengthen the way they work together to improve the well-being of the people who live in our county borough.
The Neath Port Talbot Public Services Board is a partnership of local public and voluntary organisations from across the area, including:

Neath Port Talbot’s Public Services Board assesses the well-being of the people that live in the area and produces a well-being plan every five years. Local residents and partners from the Public Services Board have come together to use their knowledge and expertise to understand the Economic, Social, Environmental and Cultural Well-Being of Neath and Port Talbot to inform future change.
NPT Well-being Assessment 2022The Public Services Board seeks to capture the strengths and assets of Neath Port Talbot, and the challenges and opportunities we face now and in the future. We must tackle issues such as climate change, poverty and homelessness, better integrating health and social care, securing future jobs and a prosperous economy as well as improving the health of our natural environment. We want to look at all of these issues in a more integrated way and develop a shared plan for working together to address them. This will help us to create a Neath Port Talbot that we all want to live in, now and in the future.
