Event and Film Office

A one-stop shop for all events and filming enquiries

Our Event and Film Office is a one-stop shop for all events and filming enquiries.

From 1st April 2025 a new Events Policy is in place to guide event and filming organisers on the use of Council land.

We also provide advice to event organisers where the event takes place on land not owned by the Council. Our team will support you through the Safety Advisory Group process if required.

Events and filming

Neath Port Talbot offers an exceptional range of event and filming/production opportunities.

Dramatic mountains and sloping valleys. Waterfalls and expansive beaches. Industrial landscapes and urban settings. NPT has it all.

Our contrasting environments provide the perfect site variety for:

  • settings
  • backdrops
  • gatherings

Transport links

We have excellent transport links, including:

  • easy access to the M4
  • proximity to Swansea and Cardiff
  • accessible train stations

Neath Port Talbot is the perfect base for filming, visitors and organisers alike.

Safety Advisory Group (SAG)

The Safety Advisory Group (SAG) has expertise in both internal and external event management.

The group will help event organisers by:

  • guiding you to relevant services
  • informing you of any requirements, regulations and responsibilities you must meet
  • commenting and advising on event applications

Site visits

We will undertake visits to events during set up, the event itself and the event break down. This is to to assess compliance with:

  • the event application
  • risk assessment
  • any licenses issued for the event

Contact us

For events, email specialevents@npt.gov.uk

For filming, email filming@npt.gov.uk

All event and film organisers should provide as much notice as possible. Ideally this should be at least three months in advance of your event or film shoot taking place.

Once we receive your enquiry, we will contact you to find out more about your proposals. We will then work with other Council departments to identify what:

  • permissions you will need
  • safety measures you will need to put in place
